Recreation Aid
Job Description:
Assist in the operation of the camping/picnic programs. Collect fees and charges as well as rent and issue recreation equipment. Assist with the monitoring and upkeep of grounds, facilities, and equipment. Work an uncommon tour of duty which includes weekends and holidays. Perform other duties as assigned. This job requires continuous walking, standing, and stooping. Moderate physical effort is required to perform cleaning and maintenance of facilities. Applicants must be able to frequently lift and carry 10 to 30 pounds and occasionally lift up to 50 pounds or more. Must be able to follow oral or written instructions. Must work outside and inside in all types of weather such as heat, cold, or rain.
Qualifications:
Must have a basic knowledge of the rules and practices of recreation activities. Must have practical skill in the use and maintenance of various equipment and facilities. Applicant must be physically fit. Applicant must be able to pass a National Agency Background Check. Must complete pre-employment physical and drug test.
